Confirmation instruction is a two-year program for children entering the 7th grade. Children need not be members of the congregation to enroll, but they must have parental permission. Instruction covers the Six Chief Parts of Christian doctrine as presented in Luther’s Small Catechism. Successful completion of the course of instruction requires the memorization of key Scripture passages together with the Catechism. Instruction concludes with a public examination of the students, followed by the rite of Confirmation and Communicant Member status. Confirmation instruction is conducted by Pastor Anderson.
